Biography

Rhoda Burrows is a professor of horticulture at South Dakota State University and a South Dakota Extension horticulture specialist. Her areas of study and academic interests include fruit and vegetable production and soil microbiology. Dr. Burrows teaches vegetable production at SDSU, and she works with fruit and vegetable production and consumer horticulture education through her extension responsibilities. She is a member of the American Society for Horticultural Science, the American Community Gardening Association, the South Dakota Specialty Producers Association and Buy Fresh Buy Local South Dakota. She earned her Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from the University of Minnesota. She has an M.S. in Horticultural Science from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. in Horticultural Science from Montana State University.
