The SDSU WEED project will be at the fair to answer your questions again. This year the feature will be the amaranth “pigweed” species. There is a lot of confusion on what species we have in the state and how we can control them. This is your one stop location to get your questions answered by the experts.
The SDSU WEED project has provided this service to the citizens of South Dakota at the fair for close to fifty years and for the last forty plus year’s this has always been in the Expo building at the fair in the southeast corner. Besides the pigweed display there will be a noxious weed display and a lawn and garden area.
The display will again have several publications that you can take home to read up more on the area of your concern. Again, the state fair this year runs August 28 through September 1.
