SDSU Extension will be hosting a canning workshop on June 23 at 10 AM CDT at the Sioux Falls Regional Center (2001 E. Eighth St., Sioux Falls, SD 57103).
Join us and learn how to safely can in your kitchen! SDSU Extension field specialists will be discussing safe food preservation practices and guiding participants through hands on canning techniques. Methods covered will be water bath canning & pressure canning peaches, strawberry jam, and green beans.
This workshop is open to all, but any youth under the age of 13 need to have an adult present to assist them during the workshop.
Attendees should bring a shoe box to the workshop to take jars home in.
Registration is limited to 18 people and costs $30, which covers the cost of materials and lunch. Register online using the form below by June 20, 2018.
