The South Dakota Department of Health and SDSU Extension are launching Better Choices, Better Health® SD (BCBH) starting at various locations across the state in an effort to teach South Dakotans with chronic health conditions ways to manage the impact of their disease on their life.
SDSU Extension, in collaboration with the South Dakota Department of Health and Volunteers of America Dakotas, will present a four-part webinar series on Grant Writing for Community Coalitions April 4, 12, 19, and 26, 2017.
The South Dakota One Health Meeting: Vaccine-Preventable Diseases of People & Animals will be held April 26, 2017 at the USD Health Science Center (1400 W. 22nd St., Room 106, Sioux Falls, SD 57105).
SDSU Extension will present a statewide video conference on May 23, 2017 to train communities with populations of 3,500 or less how to implement safe, bi-monthly, theme based, 2-mile community walks.
SDSU Extension, in collaboration with the SDSU Wellness Center, will host a two-day Wellness Summit for South Dakota teens, June 14-15, 2017 on the SDSU campus.
SDSU Extension will host a Better Choices, Better Health Lay Leader Training on June 19, 20, 26, and 27, 2017 from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (CST) each day at the Lake Region Business Center (1209 Main Street, Webster, SD). Registration is $250 and includes handouts, other supplies, and lunch/refreshments. The registration deadline is June 5, 2017.
