SDSU Extension will host Native American Traditional Games Training, provided by the International Traditional Games Society, July 19 - 21, 2017 at Sinte Gleska University in Mission, SD.
This training will promote physical activity and increased connection with values of the past. Participants will be trained in over 20 traditional games, achieve a certification to teach the games to others in their community, and craft their own sets of game equipment to take home. Participants that have not completed a training will obtain a Level I certificate. Participants who have completed a Level I training will obtain a Level II certificate.
The cost to register for both youth and adult participants is $50. The deadline to register is July 12, 2017. For more information about this event, contact Hope Kleine, SDSU Extension Health Education Field Specialist.
