SDSU Extension will host a canoe and camping based water quality research trip for teens ages 13-18 on July 23-27 on the Missouri River.
Drop off area: Chief White Crane Recreation Area, Yankton, SD
Pick up area: Clay County Park, Vermillion, SD
Youth will learn how to assess water quality using technology, water test kits, and environmental indicators while camping at several points along the river. Youth will also be introduced to canoeing and camping, and all gear will be provided through a contract with the SDSU Wellness Center. Registered participants will receive detailed information via email about our schedule, camp sites, and exact pick up and drop off locations.
