SDSU Extension Master Gardener Clubs come together to provide services and education to communities across the state. Below is merely a snapshot of some of the programs that have been offered over the last 8-12 months.

Brookings Area Master Gardeners Club

  • Prairie  Cemetary Garden Restoration
  • Spring 2017 workshop on cemetery restoration

Couteau Prairie Master Gardeners Club

  • Boys and Girls Club “green thumb” youth project
  • Booth Hosts at Watertown Farmer’s Market June – September
  • “Rabbits, Raccoons, & Deer, Oh My!” presentation
  • Presentation: Making recycled hypertufa or papercrete pots.

Custer County Master Gardeners Club

  • Plant arrangements at Operation Black Hills Cabin

Minnehaha Master Gardeners Club

  • “Gardening with the Masters” educational program
  • Plant Sale
  • Booth hosts

Northern Hills Master Gardeners Club

  • 2016 hosts of the Annual State Update, a convening of Master Gardeners from across the state
  • Weekly Farmer’s Market Booth hosts during growing season
  • Children’s Gardens (Kids Club Community Garden, Creekside Elementary)
  • Plant Workshop at Spearfish Library

Huron Area Master Gardeners Club

  • YWCA Pollinator and garden tour
  • South Dakota State Fair Booth Hosts

Prairie Partners Master Gardeners Club

  • Brown County Fair flower beds and barrels maintained by club members

  • Dacotah Prairie Museum Christmas Tree Decorating

Prairie Potters Master Gardeners Club

South Central Master Gardeners Club
