We will kick off the day at 9:00 am in Rapid City with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s disease. Pre-registration is not required. No cost to participate.

Following The Walk to End Alzheimer’s, SDSU Extension and the Office of Attorney General will host the 2nd Annual Aging Gracefully Expo. This event will connect us with new ways of living fully. We will be introduced to educational ideas, enlightening discussions, and opportunities for the aging experience. No cost to attend.

Live Webcast
Because SDSU Extension and the Office of Attorney General are committed to connecting the people of South Dakota with information about Fraud and Scams and Alzheimer’s disease, anyone with an internet connect will have access to the AGE Keynote Presentations. A live stream of the presentations will be available on The South Dakota Network: A Service of South Dakota Public Broadcasting. Thank you AARP South Dakota for sponsoring the webcast. We will be accepting questions from attendees outside of Rapid City. Question can be asked on Facebook or Twitter using #AgingWellSD. In addition, a telephone number will be provided during the webcast to submit questions.

Other Activities
In addition to our keynote and breakout presentations, we will have fitness demonstrations will also be available to show us the different options available to stay active as we age. Because aging gracefully is more than housing and health, we will host diverse vendors to share information about recreation, volunteerism, and lifelong learning.

Other Attendance Options

Several communities across the state will host AGE sites. Keynote presentations will be broadcast to each site. Some sites will host in-person presentations from local experts. Lunch will be provided. No cost to attend, but donations are welcome to help cover the cost of the meal. Please call the number below to reserve your spot so we can ensure we have enough food.
