Educational sessions were well attended at the 2017 North American Manure Expo held in Arlington, WI.
In preparation for 2018, several members of the South Dakota North American Manure Expo (NAME) planning committee traveled to Arlington, WI on August 22-23 to attend the 2017 Expo, hosted by the University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension and partners. Over 1,000 participants attended the 2-day event in Wisconsin where tours, educational sessions, equipment demonstrations and a trade show were available to choose from. During their time in Wisconsin, the planning committee got a behind-the-scenes look at how the Expo is managed and brought back a number of ideas sure to make the 2018 Expo a successful one.

The North American Manure Expo travels to South Dakota in 2018 and will be held at the Swiftel Center in Brookings, SD on August 15-16, 2018. The event will be hosted by South Dakota State University, SDSU Extension, and regional partners. The planning committee looks forward to delivering top-notch tours and quality educational information to both the local and national manure management industry regarding nutrient management planning and utilization, soil health, water quality, and more.
