Precision Ag Conference February 22

BROOKINGS, S.D. -  The 13th annual Precision Ag Conference is set for Feb. 22 in Aberdeen S.D.

The one-day event is designed to provide producers with the latest in precision ag research and information. In addition, it provides a chance for producers to learn more about precision ag services and goods at the daylong Precision Ag Trade Show.

The conference will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Best Western Ramkota Inn with registration and coffee. The trade show will also open at this time.

The morning program will start at 9 a.m. with Kurt Reitsma, SDSU Extension Precision Ag Specialist, Sioux Falls, SD. He will address the topic "Making 'Cents' out of Yield Data, Mapping and Interpreting Yield Maps" At 9:50 a.m. Dr. Dan Humburg, SDSU will exam "Precision Ag - Machinery Innovations for the Future." The break at 10:40 a.m. is sponsored by Rx/VRT. The 11:10 a.m. session will feature Kelby Kleinsasser, Raven Applied Technologies Division, Sioux Falls addressing "Ag Information Systems of the Future."Lunch will be served at 12 noon. The second half of the program begins at 1 p.m. with Tom McGraw, McGraw Consulting Services, talking on "The Miracle of Modern Agriculture." Concurrent sessions featuring industry updates from Trimble Navigation, AgLeader Technologies, Raven Applied Technologies, John Deere/RDO Equipment, and CHN/Titan Machinery will be offered at 1:55 pm and repeated at 3:15 p.m. The break at 2:45 p.m. is sponsored by Glacier Lakes Energy, LLC. The afternoon concludes at 4:10 p.m. with evaluations and door prizes.

The cost of the event is $20per person until Feb.15. The cost at the door is $25 per person.
